Right Down the Road

We attended the International Carriage Driving Festival yesterday which is held right down the road from where we live. Carriage drivers come from all over the world, bringing their horses and carriages with them in order to compete.
The drivers' jackets and the horses' braid ribbons are usually color coordinated in some way and it is a very exciting event. There are single and double pony events as well as the Four in Hand, four horses attached to one carriage.
We saw many beautiful dogs both in the agility trials and just walking around being curious. It was a splendid day with temperatures in the 70's accompanied by a cool breeze. We will definitely do this again.

Wow, what a great day you had. I love that idea. They have started doing something like that here and in the downtown area. A horse and carriage to transport you to different area of the downtown area. Thx for sharing. Take care.
