Saturday Garden Tour

I finally planted my fennel................
The cardinals have built a nest in the honeysuckle........

And the "Papa" rose, planted in memory of my father, is in full, gorgeous bloom......

Nice. I like fennel but can't seem to grow it. Happy Spring to you.

Beautiful!! I love the cardinals in the honeysuckle.
When I lived in England the honeysuckle smelled so sweet but here in Canada it has no scent at all! Do you know why this is?

Amelia: My honeysuckle does not smell at all but that is the coral variety. The white variety does but does not grow as prolifically as the coral. Don't know the answer to that.

I'm so jealous that your spring is so far ahead of ours in the northeast! Can't wait to plant my fennel and nasturtiums and this year, finally, I am going to string wires on the wide of the front porch and grow sweet peas. Soons, that is, as I can walk!
Thanks for the good wishes on my blog.
